I have posted here a photo of Scott Pendergraft checking wiring etc so we will be able to broadcast over Stormfront come Sunday morning. I also have a photo of Heritage Connect going over a couple of songs and two pictures taken of the front of the sanctury. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow night.
Nov 30th - Work Begins on 1st U.S. Underwater Highway Tunnel
The Winston Tunnel, built by hand, was completed in 1888, with labor from the Minnesota and Northwestern Railroad. The tunnel makes its way through some extremely unstable shale and loose soil. Initially the tunnel was shored with wood, but in the early 1900's the reinforcement was re-done with bricks, mortar, concrete and rock. It was rebuilt in 1912, 1918, 1944 and 1947. The need for constant rebuilding was quite costly, but the tunnel endured until 1972, when it was abandoned. Today, it is condemned and there are no plans for refurbishing it again.
It’s amazing to examine the great feats accomplished by our people. Can you imagine the engineering that went into pursuing this great task? I am sure that many, if not most people at the time, thought such a job couldn’t be done. But like all great achievements there were those that had faith in their ability and the more people said it couldn’t be done the more they set out to do the impossible.

We are getting ready for our annual Christmas Fellowship Conference. It looks like it going to turnout to be a good weekend and we are looking forward to seeing some of our old friends again. I bought the groceries yesterday for the weekend. Saturday at noon we will be having Bar BQ sandwiches, then for supper we will be serving a Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, dressing and dinner rolls. For desert we have available chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, cappuccino cookies, and something made from donut holes. Sunday morning we will be serving pancakes, then for Sunday lunch it will be potluck of Turkey and Bar BQ that may have been left over from the previous day along with Chili. There is no registration fee for the Christmas Fellowship Conference and we never charge for meals at this annual conference either. This meeting and all meals are free to our friends and guest. All white people who love our heritage and our people are welcome to attend. This is not a Klan function - all white people are invited.

I listened to the Republican debate. It was disappointing, though not unexpected to hear the response to the "gay" questions. Openly gay Brigadier General Keith Kerr asked if they thought the U.S. Military was professional enough to accept homosexuals into their ranks. It was sickening to see John McCain begin his answer by thanking the sodomite General for his long years of service to our country.
I don’ think I would have been so polite. It’s amazing how many are terrified of offending sodomites.
I oppose the homosexual agenda, but I do not believe the government should have the right, power or permission to sneak into our bedrooms or peak through windows to see what is going go. The homosexual agenda, infecting the nation, is a fearful thing, but so is an out of control government. Sodomites complain about discrimination - well the best way to protect themselves from discrimination is to keep their perversion to themselves. A healthy society can never tolerate this foul sin to go unchallenged.
Under righteous government the people - all the people - are protected from government snoops. As long as homosexuals kept their loathsome lifestyle away from the public eye (the closet) all was well.
Such is not the case today. Sodomites without shame push their filthy lifestyle into our face. Little boys, who at 7 or 8 years old think girls are yucky, are being told by school counselors that it may be because they are gay. Or the message is told to us that if a young boy enjoys playing the violin more than playing football it is a sign that he may be gay. These people are sick!
And so I suppose if I was in the Republican debate I would be giving the "wrong" answers. So McCain and a couple of others though claiming that "at this time" it may not be a good idea to allow openly "gay" people in the military it was done without condemnation of sodomites and as I said expressed thanks for Keith Kerr for his great patriotism.
When George Washington was in charge of our army during the American War for Independence, he set the example of our attitude toward gays in the military.
Washington remained steadfast in his duty to maintain high standards of morality in the military. On March 10, 1778, "with Abhorrence and Detestation" of homosexual conduct, Washington ordered Lt. Frederick Gotthold Enslin "to be dismiss'd [from] the service with Infamy [disgrace]," and "to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army, never to return."
Washington did not allow sodomites to serve in the Continental army and we should not allow them either.

Birth of William Blake
William Blake (November 28, 1757 – August 12, 1827) was largely unrecognized during his lifetime, However today he is considered significant in the history of both poetry and the visual arts. He was voted 38th in a poll of the 100 Greatest Britons organized by the BBC in 2002.
Blake has been somewhat of a controversial figure, embracing some ideas of which we might find disagreement. However, we do recognize his brilliance as another example of the literary contributions made by our people
It is evident that he did have some understanding of what we today call Christian Identity. It has long been taught that Jesus Christ during the "missing 18 years" of his life had visited and lived in England. The uncle of his mother was Joseph of Arimathea which owned tin mines in England and was a recognized principle in the Roman government. Joseph of Arimathea made many visits to England and took Jesus, as a child, with him to Glastonbury, England.
Blake evidently wrote his poem Jerusalem based on these traditions.

Darwin Publishes On the Origin of Species
Darwin (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist. After becoming eminent among scientists for his field work and inquiries into geology, he proposed and attempted to provide scientific evidence that all species of life have evolved over time from one or a few common ancestors through the process of natural selection.
The same theory is taught by noted "Christian" author and speaker Ken Ham (pictured below). Though Ham claims to reject the teachings of Darwin in favor of creation, he actually makes the very same claims of natural selection that Darwin makes.
Ham has gained popularity in recent years among those who support the New Age Movement’s teachings of Racial Reconciliation.
H. G. Wells provides us with the basis of Darwin’s teaching of Natural Selection in his book, The Outline of History. After reading this, compare it to the teachings of New Age Cultist, Ken Ham who attempts to use the same theory to support his claim that all races are related and of the same origin. In his book, One Blood, Ham attempts to project the notion that all races have a common origin and therefore are actually inter-related. There is no such thing as race in Ken Ham's theology and whites and blacks, for example, should freely marry with approval of the church.
"It must be evident from what has already been explained that man, so widely spread and subjected therefore to great differences of climate, consuming very different food in different regions, attacked by different enemies, must always have been undergoing considerable local modifications and differentiation. Man, like every other species; wherever a body of men has been cut off, in islands or oceans or by deserts or mountains, from the rest of humanity, it must have begun very soon to develop special characteristics, specially adapted to the local conditions."
Ken Ham, writing in his book, One Blood, uses the same teaching of Darwin to support the claim that there is no such thing as race, only people groups. Ham claims all races have the same common origin and simply develop different "racial" characteristic due to the climate where they lived or the kind of food they ate. This teaching of Racial Reconciliation is based on Darwin's theory of Natural Selection.
Compare the teaching of Racial Reconciliation below with the teachings of Charles Darwin above.
"It is unlikely that each small group would carry the same broad range of skin colors as the original, larger group. So one group might have more "light" genes. The same thing would happen to other characteristics: nose shape, eye shape etc . . . As these groups migrated they encountered new and different climate zones . . . Let us look at the people who moved to cold areas with little sunlight. In those areas, the dark skinned members of any group would not be able to produce enough vitamin D, and would be less healthy and have fewer children . . . So, in time the light-skinned members would predominate. If several groups went to such an area, and if one group happened to be carrying few genes for lightness, this particular group could in time die out."
It is amazing how the theory of Darwin has been adopted by the New Age "Christian" church to support its doctrine of Racial Reconciliation.
The danger of men like Ken Ham is because he is right on so many issues that people become disarmed. They like so much of what he says that when he injects the Secular Humanist teaching on The Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man into his message they are easily entraped into the teachings of the One World Church. We were warned by the Apostle Paul that there will be false prophets (teachers) who will appear as Angels of Light.

The modern "Christian" church has actually abandoned the teachings of the Christian faith and is now teaching the same doctrine about race that all the false religions of the world teach. Kennedy Assinated on this Day
Many of Kennedy's speeches (especially his inaugural address) are considered iconic; and despite his relatively short term in office and lack of major legislative changes during his term, Americans regularly vote him as one of the best of American presidents in the same league as George Washington. This only goes to show how easily the media can manipulate the American people. I’m convinced they could make Morris the Cat into a national hero in a matter of weeks if they wanted to.
President Kennedy is the only president to have predeceased both his mother and father.

We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving Dinner as I am sure most of you are. Of course if you are accessing this blog from outside of the U.S. then I guess it’s just another day. But here most everyone is getting ready to have a turkey dinner. Canada also has a Thanksgiving day and it is held the 2nd Monday of October. One article I read said 280 million turkeys will be sold this Thanksgiving season. That seems a little high as there are only about 300 million people in the U.S. So that would be almost one turkey per person.
Yesterday I did quite a lengthy interview with a student from Ireland who is attending the University of Florida. As I said the other day, these students are going to be decision makers someday and any influence we can have is important.
I am working on another issue of The Torch. The main article is titled BLOOD STONE. It will deal with the Stone of Destiny which rest beneath the coronation chair. Every monarch of Great Britain has been crowned while setting on this stone. It was brought to England by King Edward in 1296 from Scotland where it was also used to crown the King of the Scots.

Mayflower takes anchor in the New World
With the charter for the Plymouth Council for New England incomplete by the time the colonists departed England they arrived without a patent. To address this issue, a brief contract, later to be known as the Mayflower Compact, was drafted promising cooperation among the settlers "for the general good of the Colony unto which we promise all due submission and obedience." It was ratified by majority rule. At this time, John Carver was chosen as the colony's first governor. The Mayflower Compact also stated that the purpose of their voyage was "undertaken, for the Glory of God and advancement of the Christian Faith."
Exploration of the area was delayed for over two weeks because the shallop (a small vessel) they brought had been partially dismantled to fit aboard the Mayflower and was further damaged in transit. Small parties, however, waded to the beach to fetch firewood and attend to long-deferred personal hygiene.
While awaiting the shallop, exploratory parties led by Myles Standish and Christopher Jones were taken.
By December, most of the passengers and crew had become ill, coughing violently. Many were also suffering from the effects of scurvy. There had already been ice and snowfall, hampering exploration efforts. During the first winter, 47% of them died.

Nothing special happened today, just another work day of answering the phone, etc. I did speak to a reporter from the FOX affiliate in Winston-Salem North Carolina. There has been a considerable amount of literature distributed in the area and they were interested. But I really don’t think they are going to report on it. If anyone hears anything. Let us know.
I appreciate all the hard work that so many of you do. I especially appreciate those who have been faithful to the cause for many years. Never complaining, just doing what needs to be done to awaken our people. The Klan motto is Non Silba Sed Anthar - which means Not for self - but for others. That is truly our purpose. Sometimes people join for personal reasons - they want a Klan membership card or they want to hang our with other Klan members, or perhaps they think it is going to give them some degree of self-esteem. But a real Klansman or Klanswoman joins because they love our people and they want to awaken them to the dangers facing our race, faith and homeland. Their thinking process in one directional - outward. The desire to serve our people with love and compassion.

Bill of Rights
The rights of free people was so well understood, it was feared that by listing various rights that are protected it would imply that rights not listed were not protected. It is like naming the people you want to thank for their help in achieving a goal or putting on a lavish banquet or conference. It is almost certain you will forget someone.
The rights of free speech, freedom of assembly, right to self-defense, trial by jury etc. Were considered God Given. The constitution did not give those rights to the people as they existed long before the drafting of the constitution. Many founding fathers thought an inclusion of a Bill of Rights would appear as if these rights were government given and not God Given. In as much as the new constitution did not deprive the citizens of their God Given rights it was consider unnecessary and could perhaps lead to a misunderstanding that rights not protected did not exist.
It is for this reason there was the inclusion of the ninth amendment. "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." In other words the founding fathers were saying, we are aware that governments can become abusive so we want to make sure that it is kept on a leash and will not abuse the rights which the people have. But just in case we missed some rights it must be understood that the people do not forfeit them and that they are still retained by the people.
Of course, now we are in a period when the government has indeed become abusive and it is this Bill of Rights which protect us from absolute tyranny.

I didn’t get an opportunity to post a blog on Saturday. I am sure you all know how things can pile up. On Friday we recorded a new edition of the Global Minority Report for WWRB radio and also a new edition of This is the Klan for our internet TV program. These programs continue to be popular. Yesterday I had a student from the University of Central Arkansas come by for an interview for a class project. We always take time to speak to students, they will be decision makers someday. Helping to set some direction in their lives is important and we are always glad to help. I got an interesting letter in the mail today. Here is what it said. "Dear Pastor Robb: I supported the Civil Rights movement in the 60’s and worked with Negroes to advance their cause. Now I realize my mistake. I think I might be interested in joining the Klan. Please send be some information."

There isn’t much to report about The Rhino Times. I will keep you updated with new developments as they happen. The only development right now is that our attorney will be going to court on November 26th to fight against The Rhino Times attempt to get an injunction against us. The injunction, as I understand it, would prevent us from suggesting that people should place Knights Party literature inside issues of The Rhino Times. This is rather silly and meaningless because we have never suggested that Knights Party literature should be distributed by placing it inside copies of The Rhino Times or any other newspaper. It would be a rather foolish thing to do because who is going to take time to read a newspaper that is possibly months old.
The settlement agreement plainly states that we would attempt to discourage people from placing Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. Their attorney, Seth Cohen, claims that we violated the settlement agreement. The "violation" seems to stem from our statements on the internet discussing the terms of the settlement agreement and pointed out that we are only prohibited from telling people that should place Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. Of course, we have never made such a suggestion. However, any other use of the Rhino Times is up to each individuals as old copies of the newspaper become the personal property of those who buy or acquire it through lawful means.

Mason-Dixon Line
The Missouri Compromise of 1820 created the political conditions which made the Mason-Dixon Line important to the history of slavery. It was during the Congressional debates leading up to the compromise that the term "Mason-Dixon line" was first used to designate the entire boundary between free states and slave states.
The states in dark red are almost always included in modern day definitions of the South, while those in medium red are usually included. The striped states are sometimes/occasionally considered Southern.

First Blood Transfusion

I mailed $3,000 to our attorney in North Carolina to fight the absurd claim by The Rhino Times that we did not honor the terms of the settlement agreement.
The Rhino Times is simply trying to save face after realizing (and perhaps the butt of jokes) that they accomplished nothing from their original lawsuit against us.
We agreed that we would advise people not to put Knights Party literature inside copies of The Rhino Times. This has always been our policy and the settlement agreement changed nothing. We signed the settlement agreement in good faith and have honored the terms of the settlement.

The White Nationalist movement is full of hard working and dedicated people. However, sometimes an oddball surfaces and attempts to cause division.
Occasionally, someone will gloat about the hard times another group is having, or they will attempt to disrupt another groups activity or belittle their leadership or accomplishments.

Olive Branch Petition
The previous July, Congress had adopted the Olive Branch Petition, written by John Dickinson, which appealed directly to King George III and expressed hope for reconciliation between the colonies and Great Britain.
John Dickinson's Olive Branch Petition was designed to be critical of parliament and not the king who they felt was still a friend of the colonies. It was the opinion of many Americans that the actions taken against them was caused by parliament and the king would support them if he only understood their situation. Abigail Adams’ response was a particularly articulate expression of many colonists’ thoughts. Patriots had hoped that parliament had curtailed colonial rights without the king’s full knowledge, and that the petition would cause him to come to his subjects’ defense. When George III refused to read the petition, patriots like Adams realized that parliament was acting with royal knowledge and support. Americans’ patriotic rage was intensified with the January 1776 publication, Common Sense, by English-born, and now American patriot, Thomas Paine.

Most of you know we won a decisive victory in Greensboro, North Carolina recently when The Rhino Times offered a settlement agreement in which we would not place Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. The settlement agreement, in part, originally stated, "The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree to contact all members of its organization residing in North Carolina, so as to put these individuals on notice that The Knights Party newsletter should not be distributed by placing such newsletters in or about The Rhino Times." I could not, with a clear conscience accept such an agreement. The reason I could not accept such an agreement is simple, The Rhino Times has no right to control your private property. Old and discarded copies of the Rhino Times collected by individuals or purchased from a recycling center is no longer property of Rhino Times.
Rhino Times CAN object to placing Knights Party literature INSIDE their newspaper. For example, you can not and should not take large quantities of The Rhino Times and put Knights Party literature inside and then place them back in the newspaper rack. It would be a dishonest thing to do. It could be interpreted as stealing advertising. It would be a hard case to win but certainly an argument in behalf of a newspaper could be made.
So after crossing out the words "in or about" from the settlement agreement it then stated, "The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree to contact all members of its organization residing in North Carolina, so as to put these individuals on notice that the Knights Party newsletter should not be distributed by placing such newsletters inside The Rhino Times."
Rhino Times agreed with the removal of the words "in or about" and accepted the new phrase.
With that, we signed the settlement agreement because it did not limit people from using their private property anyway they should decide.
This new problem arose when we discussed the settlement agreement in a public forum. Evidently Rhino Times realized how foolish they looked because it has ALWAYS been our position to advise people not to put Knights Party literature inside of newspapers. The settlement agreement "forced" us to follow what was already our policy. No doubt people were laughing behind the back of the publishers of The Rhino Times.
But because we publicly discussed the terms of the settlement agreement they claim we violated the spirit of the agreement and have sued us for breaching the settlement contract.
It looks like our legal expenses will begin again. I know many of you have helped before, but we are sort of in a position where an attacking army retreats and suddenly attacks again. We can not walk away from the challenge before us and I am asking you who have helped in the past to stay the course with us and continue your help. Those of you who have not helped, need to understand that I did not ask for this battle, I am only the person who must face this enemy head on and we can’t have a victory unless somebody provides the "ammunition" (money) to rebuke this new assault upon us.
I know some may be saying, "There he goes asking for money again." But it is no different than a soldier in a war zone saying, "Pass the ammunition" Without it we can not fight for our nation, or heritage or your children. I want to remind you that most of you who joined The Knights did so because you wanted to do something on behalf of our race, fatih and homeland. You said you were tired of how our people are betrayed by politicians. This is the battle and this is how you can help.
I appreciate all of you who are standing for White Christian Revival. I also appreciate those of you who help support this work of reaching out to our brothers and sisters with hope and deliverance. Please keep us in your prayers as we face this new challenge from The Rhino Times. This is not something I wanted, but it is something we cannot back away from.
I hate to mention money again. But what else can I do? I have given an honest report to those that have helped in this most recent struggle and in doing so I hope I have earned your trust.
I do want to remind you that all money donated to The Knights go to The Knights. I receive absolutely no income in anyway from the Knights Party. I have my own income which allows me to be financially free to work full time on behalf of our mutual cause. I am sending $3,000 dollars out of my personal account to our attorney this afternoon. But it will take more. We have to win this battle again.

Marine Corp Established
Serving on land and at sea, the original U.S. Marines distinguished themselves in a number of important operations during the Revolutionary War. The first Marine landing on a hostile shore occurred when a force of Marines under Captain Samuel Nicholas captured New Province Island in the Bahamas from the British in March 1776. Nicholas was the first commissioned officer in the Continental Marines and is celebrated as the first Marine commandant. After American independence was achieved in 1783, the Continental Navy was demobilized and its Marines disbanded.
In the next decade, however, increasing conflict at sea with Revolutionary France led the U.S. Congress to establish formally the U.S. Navy in May 1798. Two months later, on July 11, President John Adams signed the bill establishing the U.S. Marine Corps as a permanent military force under the jurisdiction of the Department of Navy. U.S. Marines saw action in the so-called Quasi-War with France and then fought against the Barbary pirates of North Africa during the first years of the 19th century. Since then, Marines have participated in all the wars of the United States and in most cases were the first soldiers to fight. In all, Marines have executed more than 300 landings on foreign shores.

Berlin Wall Comes Down
At the end of World War II in 1945, the city of Berlin was completely surrounded by territory occupied by Soviet forces. This territory became the country of East Germany in 1949. The city of Berlin itself was partitioned into East Berlin and West Berlin. West Berlin was occupied by British, French, and United States forces and was supported by the Federal Republic of Germany, commonly known as West Germany. Between 1949 when East Germany was established and the middle of 1961, at least 2.7 million people fled East Germany, more than half of them through West Berlin.
East Germans had limited access to West German media and were aware that their standard of living was substantially lower than that of their counterparts in West Germany. Many East Germans left East Germany hoping to find a better life in the West.
In 1961 the East German government decided to stop this flight to the West, which was depleting the country's labor force, among other things. During the night of August 13, 1961, East German soldiers surrounded West Berlin with temporary fortifications that were rapidly replaced by a concrete wall 12 feet high and 103 miles long, of which 28 miles lay between two sides of the city. Where a wall was not possible, buildings were bricked-up. The only openings in the wall were two closely guarded crossing points, the most famous crossing point known as Checkpoint Charlie.
The East German government said the wall was needed to prevent military aggression from West Germany.
In the fall of 1989, the East German regime was on the verge of collapse, and on November 9, enthusiastic private citizens began to demolish whole sections of the wall without interference from government officials. East Germany eventually participated in the removal of the Berlin Wall and reunited with West Germany in 1990 as one nation.

I am hoping that in a couple of days I will be able to give you an update of the most recent action of the Rhino Times. All I can say for now is that they have totally disregarded the terms of the settlement agreement. Apparently they have come to realize how foolish they looked and are now attempting to save face by resurrecting their complaint. Unfortunately this is going to start costing us more legal fees, just as we were ready to put the whole affair to rest.
We recorded another edition of The Global Minority Report for radio yesterday. This program is heard on WWRB - 3.185 Mhz Wednesday night at 10 PM eastern time. This is a short wave radio broadcast. Yesterday, we also had a news crew from France. Sabrina Van Tassel is with Canal + and the program they were reporting for is "L’Effet Papillou." I am going to post some pictures of them as they are recording. There is no need for me to explain each picture as they are just random photos of them shooting some film footage as we do the This is the Klan show. After this was finished they conducted their interview. They also were very interested in the music of Heritage Connection, interviewing them as well as recording their music. I will post some pictures of them recording Heritage Connection on tomorrows blog.
The Christmas Fellowship Conference is only a few weeks away. I certainly hope you are making plans to attend. There is no registration fee. But if you could let us know you are planning to attend it will help us out in preparation.

To be quite honest I also ask for your prayers that God will provide the means to shoulder the legal battle again. Dear Pastor Robb:
I want to thank you for your insight and eye opening educational materials. I was raised in a Christian home. I was born in East St. Louis in 1960. I remember things that younger people do not. My parents taught the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, stay with your own kind and keep you mind clean.
Reading the book that was supplied (Billions for the Bankers) has rekindled by affirmation of faith. I recently studied for the ministry through an at home study course and became ordained. It is another step of progress. I know it is not the credentials that you studied for, but it would make my mom happy.
One does not know until one participates. I was under another impression of the Klan. My grandfather was a member as was my great grandfather. Both were Christians and I am also a Christian and a proud member of the Klan. I do not trust our present government.
I was not angelic in my youth, but that is all behind me. All I have is today, but with the help of Jesus and the restoration of my faith in Him, I can do something about tomorrow. I can help improve the future for my son.

I have contacted our attorney in North Carolina regarding the most recent action taken by the Rhino Times. Outside of that I don’t have anything to say. I do know The Rhino Times have decided they weren’t happy with the settlement and now are trying to challenge it.
Of course the reason they weren’t happy with the settlement is because it did not restrict people in anyway from using old discarded newspapers for any purpose they choose, which would include being used as weight material. The only thing we are required to do, according to the settlement, is to ask people not to put Knights Party literature inside the Rhino Times. Of course, this is nothing new, we have always said don’t waste money by placing literature inside newspapers. And I will again go on record, DO NOT PUT KNIGHTS PARTY LITERATURE INSIDE NEWSPAPERS. Do not go to racks where free community newspapers are being given away free and insert Knights party literature inside the newspaper and put them back in the rack. This is wrong and dishonest and could be interpreted as thief.
Below is our policy, has always been our policy and continues to be out policy.
1) Do not put Knights Party literature inside of old newspapers. After all who is going to read an old newspaper and just happen to find literature. Most everyone is throwing away their old newspapers.
2) Just because a newspaper is considered a free newspaper, such as The Rhino Times, does not mean you have a right to take their newspaper and put Klan literature inside. It would be wrong and dishonest. Do not take large quantities of free newspapers and place Klan literature inside and put them back on the rack. It could be considered thief.
But if you buy, collect, or are given old newspapers then they are yours. What you decide to do with them is your decision. Using sections of the newspaper as weight for distributing is your decision to make and they are your property and a newspaper does not have perpetual owership of the newspaper once it is sold or given away.
I want to add that if someone uses old sections of old newspapers in such a way, they should always be careful that Knights Party literature has this disclaimer at the bottom.
(The use of the old and discarded newspaper should not be interpreted to mean that we endorse its contents. This section of the newspaper is used for weight purposed only.)
I will keep you informed on what is happening in North Carolina as it unfolds.

Lewis and Clark Arrive at the Pacific Ocean
In 1803, United States purchased the Louisiana Territory from France. This was a huge tract of over 800,000 square miles, taking in nearly the entire mid-section of North America from present-day Texas and Louisiana up to Montana and North Dakota.
Much of the new territory was unexplored. Jefferson decided to send an expedition up the Missouri River to its source in the western mountains and beyond to the Pacific Ocean. Jefferson hoped that the expedition would be able to find the elusive Northwest Passage, a water route across the country, which would be a great boon to commerce.
So in that same year, Jefferson commissioned the Corps of Discovery under the command of his trusted private secretary, Meriwether Lewis. Besides seeking the Northwest Passage, Lewis was to map the new territory, assess its natural resources, and make contact with its inhabitants, befriending them if possible. Lewis recruited his friend William Clark to share equally in the command of the expedition, as well as a force of over 40 men. The members of the Corps of Discovery were soldiers, but their purpose was peaceful -- exploration, diplomacy, and science. Lewis was commissioned as a Captain of the Army of the United States.
The expedition started from St. Louis, where the Missouri empties into the Mississippi, on May 14, 1804. Along the way, Clark oversaw the men and carefully mapped the route. Lewis made scientific observations and collected specimens of animals and plants. The trip was arduous -- the men lived outdoors, hunted for food, and rowed the keelboat (along with two smaller boats) up the river, often towing the boat from the shore when the current got too heavy or the river became difficult to navigate. The party made only 12 or 14 miles on a good day.
The explorers reached the Pacific coastal area in early November, a year and a half after leaving St. Louis. They built Fort Clatsop, named after the neighboring Indian nation, on the south side of the mouth of the Columbia, near what is now Astoria, Oregon, and spent the winter in cold, wet, miserable weather, preparing for the trip back home, returning to St. Louis on September 23, 1806.

As most of your know, we were recently involved in a law suit with the Rhino Times in Greensboro, North Carolina. After 4 attempts to settle out of court we finally accepted Rhino’s 5th offer when it was clear we would sacrifice no constitutionally protected rights. In their 5th offer to settle, the only requirment Rhino Times made was that we would discourage members and supporters from putting Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. This, of course, is something we have always stated. After all it would be foolish to put literature inside an old newspaper 2, 3 of 4 months old and then hope someone would decide to read the old newspaper and by accident find our literature. So, again, the settlement agreement only required us to advise people not to put literature inside the Rhino Times. Use of the Rhino Times as, bird cage lining, fish wrap or weight in literature distribution is still left up to the decision of the person who owns the old and discarded copies of The Rhino Times or any other newspaper.
Well, evidently people began pointing out to the Rhino Times that they had won nothing and the settlement agreement "forced" us to agree to something we have always done. It would be like someone suing you and would only drop the lawsuit if you would agree not to be a mass murderer.
It appears that the publisher of The Rhino Times realized that people were laughing behind their back. As a result, it looks like the Rhino Times is attempting to recover their lost pride and there are things ‘happening" that is going to bring them back into our lives.
I will bring you up to date in a few days as we get a better understanding of what they are attempting to do to recover their lost pride and how we will respond to them.

Jefferson Davis Elected President
In 1844 Davis was elected to the United States House of Representatives. The year 1846 saw the beginning of the Mexican-American War. He resigned his House seat in June, and raised a volunteer regiment, the Mississippi Rifles, becoming its colonel. On July 21, 1846 they sailed from New Orleans for the Texas coast. Davis armed the regiment with percussion rifles and trained the regiment in their use, making it particularly effective in combat.
Because of his war service, the Governor of Mississippi appointed Davis to fill out the Senate term of the late Jesse Speight. He took his seat 5 December 1847, and was elected to serve the remainder of his term in January 1848.
In 1853 President Pierce appointed Davis his Secretary of War.
As Davis explained in his memoir, "The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government," he believed that each State was sovereign and had an unquestionable right to secede from the Union. He counseled delay among his fellow Southerners, however, because he did not think that the North would permit the peaceable exercise of the right to secession. Having served as Secretary of War under President Franklin Pierce, he also knew that the South lacked the military and naval resources necessary to defend itself if the North attacked. Following the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, however, events accelerated. South Carolina adopted an ordinance of secession on December 20, 1860, and Mississippi did so on January 9, 1861. As soon as Davis received official notification of that fact, he delivered a farewell address to the United States Senate, resigned, and returned to Mississippi.
Davis had argued against secession; but when a majority of the delegates opposed him, he gave in. Davis was not opposed to secession in principle; he counseled delay because he did not believe the North would agree to the peaceable exercise of the claimed right, and he knew that the South was not prepared for war.
Davis was elected to a six-year term as President of the Confederacy on November 6, 1861. He had never served a full term in any elective office, and that would turn out to be the case on this occasion as well. He was inaugurated on February 22, 1862.
On April 3, 1865, with Union troops under Ulysses S. Grant poised to capture Richmond, Davis escaped for Danville, Virginia, together with the Confederate Cabinet, leaving on the Richmond and Danville Railroad. He issued his last official proclamation as President of the Confederacy, and then went south to Greensboro, North Carolina.
On May 10, he was captured at Irwinville, Georgia. After being captured, he was held as a prisoner for two years in Fort Monroe, Virginia.
He completed A Short History of the Confederate States of America in October 1889. Two months later, Davis died in New Orleans at the age of eighty-one. His funeral was one of the largest ever staged in the South. He is buried at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. The photo is of Davis in 1885

November 1, 1765
Parliament enacts the Stamp Act
In the face of widespread opposition in the American colonies, Parliament enacts the Stamp Act, a taxation measure designed to raise revenue for British military operations in America.
Defense of the American colonies in the French and Indian War (1754-63) and Pontiac's Rebellion (1763-64) were costly affairs for Great Britain, and Prime Minister George Grenville hoped to recover some of these costs by taxing the colonists. In 1764, the Sugar Act was enacted, putting a high duty on refined sugar. Although resented, the Sugar Act tax was hidden in the cost of import duties, and most colonists accepted it. The Stamp Act, however, was a direct tax on the colonists and led to an uproar in America over an issue that was to be a major cause of the Revolution: taxation without representation.
Passed without debate by Parliament in March 1765, the Stamp Act was designed to force colonists to use special stamped paper in the printing of newspapers, pamphlets, almanacs, and playing cards, and to have a stamp embossed on all commercial and legal papers. The stamp itself displayed an image of a Tudor rose framed by the word "America" and the French phrase Honi soit qui mal y pense--"Shame to him who thinks evil of it."
Outrage was immediate. Massachusetts politician Samuel Adams organized the secret Sons of Liberty organization to plan protests against the measure, and the Virginia legislature and other colonial assemblies passed resolutions opposing the act. In October, nine colonies sent representatives to New York to attend a Stamp Act Congress, where resolutions of "rights and grievances" were framed and sent to Parliament and King George III. Despite this opposition, the Stamp Act was enacted on November 1, 1765.
The colonists greeted the arrival of the stamps with violence and economic retaliation. A general boycott of British goods began, and the Sons of Liberty staged attacks on the customhouses and homes of tax collectors in Boston. After months of protest and economic turmoil, and an appeal by Benjamin Franklin before the British House of Commons, Parliament voted to repeal the Stamp Act in March 1766. However, the same day, Parliament passed the Declaratory Acts, asserting that the British government had free and total legislative power over the colonies.
Parliament would again attempt to force unpopular taxation measures on the American colonies in the late 1760s, leading to a steady deterioration in British-American relations that culminated in the outbreak of the American Revolution in 1775.
