Mayflower takes anchor in the New World

Land was sighted on November 20, 1620. It was confirmed that the area was Cape Cod, within the New England territory. An attempt was made to sail the ship around the cape towards the Hudson River, also within the New England grant area, but they encountered shoals and difficult currents. It was decided to turn around, and by November 21 the ship was anchored in what is today known as Provincetown Harbor.

With the charter for the Plymouth Council for New England incomplete by the time the colonists departed England they arrived without a patent. To address this issue, a brief contract, later to be known as the Mayflower Compact, was drafted promising cooperation among the settlers "for the general good of the Colony unto which we promise all due submission and obedience." It was ratified by majority rule. At this time, John Carver was chosen as the colony's first governor. The Mayflower Compact also stated that the purpose of their voyage was "undertaken, for the Glory of God and advancement of the Christian Faith."

Exploration of the area was delayed for over two weeks because the shallop (a small vessel) they brought had been partially dismantled to fit aboard the Mayflower and was further damaged in transit. Small parties, however, waded to the beach to fetch firewood and attend to long-deferred personal hygiene.

While awaiting the shallop, exploratory parties led by Myles Standish and Christopher Jones were taken.

By December, most of the passengers and crew had become ill, coughing violently. Many were also suffering from the effects of scurvy. There had already been ice and snowfall, hampering exploration efforts. During the first winter, 47% of them died.

Nothing special happened today, just another work day of answering the phone, etc. I did speak to a reporter from the FOX affiliate in Winston-Salem North Carolina. There has been a considerable amount of literature distributed in the area and they were interested. But I really don’t think they are going to report on it. If anyone hears anything. Let us know.

I appreciate all the hard work that so many of you do. I especially appreciate those who have been faithful to the cause for many years. Never complaining, just doing what needs to be done to awaken our people. The Klan motto is Non Silba Sed Anthar - which means Not for self - but for others. That is truly our purpose. Sometimes people join for personal reasons - they want a Klan membership card or they want to hang our with other Klan members, or perhaps they think it is going to give them some degree of self-esteem. But a real Klansman or Klanswoman joins because they love our people and they want to awaken them to the dangers facing our race, faith and homeland. Their thinking process in one directional - outward. The desire to serve our people with love and compassion.

Olive Branch Petition

Upon hearing of England's rejection of the so-called Olive Branch Petition on this day in 1775, Abigail Adams writes to her husband, "Let us separate, they are unworthy to be our Brethren. Let us renounce them and instead of supplications as formerly for their prosperity and happiness, Let us beseech the almighty to blast their councils and bring to Nought all their devices."
The previous July, Congress had adopted the Olive Branch Petition, written by John Dickinson, which appealed directly to King George III and expressed hope for reconciliation between the colonies and Great Britain.
John Dickinson's Olive Branch Petition was designed to be critical of parliament and not the king who they felt was still a friend of the colonies. It was the opinion of many Americans that the actions taken against them was caused by parliament and the king would support them if he only understood their situation. Abigail Adams’ response was a particularly articulate expression of many colonists’ thoughts. Patriots had hoped that parliament had curtailed colonial rights without the king’s full knowledge, and that the petition would cause him to come to his subjects’ defense. When George III refused to read the petition, patriots like Adams realized that parliament was acting with royal knowledge and support. Americans’ patriotic rage was intensified with the January 1776 publication, Common Sense, by English-born, and now American patriot, Thomas Paine.

Most of you know we won a decisive victory in Greensboro, North Carolina recently when The Rhino Times offered a settlement agreement in which we would not place Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. The settlement agreement, in part, originally stated, "The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree to contact all members of its organization residing in North Carolina, so as to put these individuals on notice that The Knights Party newsletter should not be distributed by placing such newsletters in or about The Rhino Times." I could not, with a clear conscience accept such an agreement. The reason I could not accept such an agreement is simple, The Rhino Times has no right to control your private property. Old and discarded copies of the Rhino Times collected by individuals or purchased from a recycling center is no longer property of Rhino Times.

Rhino Times CAN object to placing Knights Party literature INSIDE their newspaper. For example, you can not and should not take large quantities of The Rhino Times and put Knights Party literature inside and then place them back in the newspaper rack. It would be a dishonest thing to do. It could be interpreted as stealing advertising. It would be a hard case to win but certainly an argument in behalf of a newspaper could be made.

So after crossing out the words "in or about" from the settlement agreement it then stated, "The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree to contact all members of its organization residing in North Carolina, so as to put these individuals on notice that the Knights Party newsletter should not be distributed by placing such newsletters inside The Rhino Times."

Rhino Times agreed with the removal of the words "in or about" and accepted the new phrase.
With that, we signed the settlement agreement because it did not limit people from using their private property anyway they should decide.

This new problem arose when we discussed the settlement agreement in a public forum. Evidently Rhino Times realized how foolish they looked because it has ALWAYS been our position to advise people not to put Knights Party literature inside of newspapers. The settlement agreement "forced" us to follow what was already our policy. No doubt people were laughing behind the back of the publishers of The Rhino Times.

But because we publicly discussed the terms of the settlement agreement they claim we violated the spirit of the agreement and have sued us for breaching the settlement contract.

It looks like our legal expenses will begin again. I know many of you have helped before, but we are sort of in a position where an attacking army retreats and suddenly attacks again. We can not walk away from the challenge before us and I am asking you who have helped in the past to stay the course with us and continue your help. Those of you who have not helped, need to understand that I did not ask for this battle, I am only the person who must face this enemy head on and we can’t have a victory unless somebody provides the "ammunition" (money) to rebuke this new assault upon us.

I know some may be saying, "There he goes asking for money again." But it is no different than a soldier in a war zone saying, "Pass the ammunition" Without it we can not fight for our nation, or heritage or your children. I want to remind you that most of you who joined The Knights did so because you wanted to do something on behalf of our race, fatih and homeland. You said you were tired of how our people are betrayed by politicians. This is the battle and this is how you can help.

I appreciate all of you who are standing for White Christian Revival. I also appreciate those of you who help support this work of reaching out to our brothers and sisters with hope and deliverance. Please keep us in your prayers as we face this new challenge from The Rhino Times. This is not something I wanted, but it is something we cannot back away from.
I hate to mention money again. But what else can I do? I have given an honest report to those that have helped in this most recent struggle and in doing so I hope I have earned your trust.
I do want to remind you that all money donated to The Knights go to The Knights. I receive absolutely no income in anyway from the Knights Party. I have my own income which allows me to be financially free to work full time on behalf of our mutual cause. I am sending $3,000 dollars out of my personal account to our attorney this afternoon. But it will take more. We have to win this battle again.

I want to post a letter I got in yesterday’s mail. This letter is from Illinois.

Dear Pastor Robb:

I want to thank you for your insight and eye opening educational materials. I was raised in a Christian home. I was born in East St. Louis in 1960. I remember things that younger people do not. My parents taught the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, stay with your own kind and keep you mind clean.

Reading the book that was supplied (Billions for the Bankers) has rekindled by affirmation of faith. I recently studied for the ministry through an at home study course and became ordained. It is another step of progress. I know it is not the credentials that you studied for, but it would make my mom happy.

One does not know until one participates. I was under another impression of the Klan. My grandfather was a member as was my great grandfather. Both were Christians and I am also a Christian and a proud member of the Klan. I do not trust our present government.

I was not angelic in my youth, but that is all behind me. All I have is today, but with the help of Jesus and the restoration of my faith in Him, I can do something about tomorrow. I can help improve the future for my son.

I have contacted our attorney in North Carolina regarding the most recent action taken by the Rhino Times. Outside of that I don’t have anything to say. I do know The Rhino Times have decided they weren’t happy with the settlement and now are trying to challenge it.

Of course the reason they weren’t happy with the settlement is because it did not restrict people in anyway from using old discarded newspapers for any purpose they choose, which would include being used as weight material. The only thing we are required to do, according to the settlement, is to ask people not to put Knights Party literature inside the Rhino Times. Of course, this is nothing new, we have always said don’t waste money by placing literature inside newspapers. And I will again go on record, DO NOT PUT KNIGHTS PARTY LITERATURE INSIDE NEWSPAPERS. Do not go to racks where free community newspapers are being given away free and insert Knights party literature inside the newspaper and put them back in the rack. This is wrong and dishonest and could be interpreted as thief.

Below is our policy, has always been our policy and continues to be out policy.

1) Do not put Knights Party literature inside of old newspapers. After all who is going to read an old newspaper and just happen to find literature. Most everyone is throwing away their old newspapers.

2) Just because a newspaper is considered a free newspaper, such as The Rhino Times, does not mean you have a right to take their newspaper and put Klan literature inside. It would be wrong and dishonest. Do not take large quantities of free newspapers and place Klan literature inside and put them back on the rack. It could be considered thief.

But if you buy, collect, or are given old newspapers then they are yours. What you decide to do with them is your decision. Using sections of the newspaper as weight for distributing is your decision to make and they are your property and a newspaper does not have perpetual owership of the newspaper once it is sold or given away.

I want to add that if someone uses old sections of old newspapers in such a way, they should always be careful that Knights Party literature has this disclaimer at the bottom.
(The use of the old and discarded newspaper should not be interpreted to mean that we endorse its contents. This section of the newspaper is used for weight purposed only.)

Lewis and Clark Arrive at the Pacific Ocean

It was on this day (Nov 7), 1805 that Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific Ocean.
In 1803, United States purchased the Louisiana Territory from France. This was a huge tract of over 800,000 square miles, taking in nearly the entire mid-section of North America from present-day Texas and Louisiana up to Montana and North Dakota.

Much of the new territory was unexplored. Jefferson decided to send an expedition up the Missouri River to its source in the western mountains and beyond to the Pacific Ocean. Jefferson hoped that the expedition would be able to find the elusive Northwest Passage, a water route across the country, which would be a great boon to commerce.

So in that same year, Jefferson commissioned the Corps of Discovery under the command of his trusted private secretary, Meriwether Lewis. Besides seeking the Northwest Passage, Lewis was to map the new territory, assess its natural resources, and make contact with its inhabitants, befriending them if possible. Lewis recruited his friend William Clark to share equally in the command of the expedition, as well as a force of over 40 men. The members of the Corps of Discovery were soldiers, but their purpose was peaceful -- exploration, diplomacy, and science. Lewis was commissioned as a Captain of the Army of the United States.

The expedition started from St. Louis, where the Missouri empties into the Mississippi, on May 14, 1804. Along the way, Clark oversaw the men and carefully mapped the route. Lewis made scientific observations and collected specimens of animals and plants. The trip was arduous -- the men lived outdoors, hunted for food, and rowed the keelboat (along with two smaller boats) up the river, often towing the boat from the shore when the current got too heavy or the river became difficult to navigate. The party made only 12 or 14 miles on a good day.

The explorers reached the Pacific coastal area in early November, a year and a half after leaving St. Louis. They built Fort Clatsop, named after the neighboring Indian nation, on the south side of the mouth of the Columbia, near what is now Astoria, Oregon, and spent the winter in cold, wet, miserable weather, preparing for the trip back home, returning to St. Louis on September 23, 1806.

As most of your know, we were recently involved in a law suit with the Rhino Times in Greensboro, North Carolina. After 4 attempts to settle out of court we finally accepted Rhino’s 5th offer when it was clear we would sacrifice no constitutionally protected rights. In their 5th offer to settle, the only requirment Rhino Times made was that we would discourage members and supporters from putting Knights Party literature inside editions of The Rhino Times. This, of course, is something we have always stated. After all it would be foolish to put literature inside an old newspaper 2, 3 of 4 months old and then hope someone would decide to read the old newspaper and by accident find our literature. So, again, the settlement agreement only required us to advise people not to put literature inside the Rhino Times. Use of the Rhino Times as, bird cage lining, fish wrap or weight in literature distribution is still left up to the decision of the person who owns the old and discarded copies of The Rhino Times or any other newspaper.

Well, evidently people began pointing out to the Rhino Times that they had won nothing and the settlement agreement "forced" us to agree to something we have always done. It would be like someone suing you and would only drop the lawsuit if you would agree not to be a mass murderer.

It appears that the publisher of The Rhino Times realized that people were laughing behind their back. As a result, it looks like the Rhino Times is attempting to recover their lost pride and there are things ‘happening" that is going to bring them back into our lives.

I will bring you up to date in a few days as we get a better understanding of what they are attempting to do to recover their lost pride and how we will respond to them.

Samuel Adams Born

Samuel Adams (1722-1803), American patriot, was one of the leaders of resistance to British policy in Massachusetts before the American Revolution.

Adams was born in Boston on September 27, 1722, and educated at Harvard College (now Harvard University).

Adams decisively influenced every important aspect of the prerevolutionary struggle against British rule. In the realm of practical politics, he promoted the formation of the Boston chapter of the Sons of Liberty and sponsored the Committee of Correspondence of Boston. He led the fight against the Townshend Acts, headed the demonstrations that led to the Boston Massacre, directed the Boston Tea Party, and figured significantly in other outstanding events of the period. He rapidly acquired an intercolonial reputation both through these activities and as a literary agitator and revolutionary ideologist. Many of his writings, chiefly political pamphlets, were widely circulated and read. A proponent of the natural rights of man, he was in the vanguard of those Americans who challenged the authority of the British Parliament and championed rebellion.

In June 1774, following the passage of the Boston Port Act, Adams climaxed his activities against that and similarly oppressive measures by securing the approval by the Massachusetts General Court of a resolution to send representatives to the First Continental Congress. Elected a delegate to the congress, he soon became the leader of the radical faction that demanded strong measures against Great Britain. Before adjourning, the Congress called for a boycott of British goods and recommended the use of force in resisting taxes that had been imposed by the government in London.

Adams was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, which convened at Philadelphia in May 1775, and he subsequently signed the Declaration of Independence.

In 1779, Adams was a member of the committee that drafted the Massachusetts State constitution.

He was lieutenant governor of Massachusetts from 1789 to 1793 and governor from 1794 to 1797. He died in Boston on October 2, 1803.

Emily Sinovic, the reporter I was expecting yesterday came about 1 PM. I had just gotten back from the Post Office when she and the cameraman arrived. Emily and the cameraman, John Gibson represent Fox News 23 based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, They spent 1 ½ hours for the interview. The main topic of their interest was the flood of illegal aliens coming into our country and our pleading that troops are put on our border to stop this brown invasion.

After all, we have troops in Iraq, we have troops in South Korea, we have troops in Afghanastan and we have troops in Germany - 50 years after the end of World War 2. If we can put troops in all these far flung areas of the world, then why can’t we have troops on OUR border to protect our nation?

I usually take a picture of me with reporters who stop, however, she said that the station manager frowns on this so would not pose for a picture.


They both were quite nice and we will wait to see the report they issue. Over the years I have been quite successful in obtaining good stories from the media. I have seen others who act like baffoons and then wonder why the media portrays them like baffoons.

Any way I did get a picture of her hiding her face behind her note pad.

I hope to have another issue of The Torch in the mail before I and Jason make our trip to North Carolina to meet with the mediator and to appear for a deposition with the attorney for Rhino Times.

American Forces Occupy Mexico City

It was on this date, September 14, that American forces under the command of Gen. Winfield Scott entered and occupied Mexico City, thus ending the War with Mexico.

The Mexican War began because the Mexican government still made claims on Texas even though it had won independence and had established itself as a Republic on March 2, 1836.
However, by the early 1840‘s there was serious talk on annexing Texas as part of the U. S.
In August 1843, Santa Anna's government informed the United States that it would "consider equivalent to a declaration of war . . . the passage of an act for the incorporation of Texas."

Texas became a state in 1845. On April 25, 1846 Mexican forces attacked American troops along the southern border of Texas. Fighting ended when U.S. Gen. Winfield Scott occupied Mexico City on Sept. 14, 1847; a few months later a peace treaty was signed (Feb. 2, 1848) at Guadalupe Hidalgo. In addition to recognizing the U.S. annexation of Texas defeated Mexico ceded California and parts of what is now Arizona and New Mexico to the United States.

Mexican leaders expected to easily win the war with the U. S. and to recover Texas. Parades, the Mexican dictator boasted of how they would soon occupy New Orleans and Mobile. His army of about 32,000 men was four to six times the size of the U. S. army. Furthermore, Mexican troops were well armed, disciplined, and, above all, experienced in scores of revolutions. Parades also counted on logistics. The principal theater of war would be Texas, hundreds of miles from the populous areas of the United States. The Mexican leadership also thought that abolitionists who objected to the war would demoralize the United States, and a Mexican invasion would be supported by a massive slave uprising.

It didn’t work out that way!

I have a picture of me hold one of the 40 page appeals prepared by Jason Robb. The other picture is the box of copied appears we sent to the Court of Appeals in Little Rock. They should get it today. It is very difficult to get a court decision overturned by appeal, but it can happen.

RHINO UPDATE

I received a call yesterday from our attorney in North Carolina with some dates regarding our lawsuit with Rhino Times. (This is a different one than the one we have filed against them in Arkansas). Jason Robb (our Arkansas attorney) and I will be flying to North Carolina on October 4th for a court ordered meeting with an mediator which is scheduled for 2:00 PM on October 5th and then we have a deposition with opposing counsel scheduled for October 8th. We are happy that we were able to get these arranged on Friday and then on Monday to avoid the cost of two trips to North Carolina. This alone will save us about a $1,000 for airfare, car rental and motel expense.

The court has also set December 10th as a court date for trial.

Star Spangled Banner is Born

On this day, September 13, 1814, Francis Scott Key wrote a poem titled, The Defense of Ft. McHenry. The poem became immediately popular. Key was on a British warship to negotiate the release of his friend, Dr. William Beanes who was being held captive by the British. Even though the negotiation was successful, they were not allowed to leave until the bombardment of Ft. McHenry was finished.

Key, watching the bombardment throughout the nights was overjoyed to see the flag still flying over the fort in the first morning light and quickly wrote words to express his emotions.

The poem was eventually set to the tune of a popular English drinking song, The Anacreon in Heaven. Soon people were referring to the song as the Star Spangled Banner and in 1916, Woodrow Wilson ordered the song to be played at all official functions. It was officially adopted as our national anthem on March 3, 1931.

Key was born August 1,1879 and died on January 11, 1843.

Yesterday, I spent all afternoon getting our appeal ready to send to the Arkansas Court of Appeals in Little Rock. As many of your know we had filed a $50,000 lawsuit against The Rhino Times in Greensboro, North Carolina for slanderous statements made on the internet. Laws dealing with the internet are still not solid in their interpretation. The court in Arkansas ruled that it did not have proper jurisdiction because The Rhino Times does not own property, bank or have an office in Arkansas and it is unlikely that they will. However, it is our argument that they have stated their intention is to inform and entertain their thousands of readers world wide.
Intentions and worldwide would certainly include Arkansas.

Jason Robb has appealed the lower court decision. Preparing an appeal is a very tedious and drawn out affair. There are often lawyers who actually specialize in appeals and do nothing else.

The reason: it has to be prepared perfectly, or the court will not even look at it.

The last day to have this appeal filed is on Monday, the 17th. I spent the afternoon, making copies and then binding them. Yes, they must be bound according to an exact procedure. There had to be 21 copies prepared. Eighteen go to the court in Little Rock and the others are sent to Rhino’s attorney in North Carolina, Rhino’s attorney in Arkansas as well as the judge in the lower court. I finally got it is the mail 15 minutes before the Post Office closed. The court should have it today.

Now an agent of the court will look at it and if there is anything that is not exactly right, they will notify Jason and then we will have to make the corrections and probably drive to Little Rock on Monday to deliver it.

But it should be ok. It has been reviewed by a agent of the court already and it appears it is acceptable for the judges to review.

Of course, all of this came about as a result of the lawsuit The Rhino Times first filed against us last September.

Captain James Cook

Tomorrow, August 22 marks the anniversary of when in 1770 Captain James Cook landed on the shores of Australia and claimed it for the King of England. Cook was an exceptional seaman, explorer and navigator. He was the first to map Newfoundland as well as the Saint Lawrence River. He also discovered the Hawaiian Islands. On his third voyage of exploration to the South Pacific he was killed in a fight with Hawaiian natives on February 14, 1779. He was 51 years old.

So tomorrow celebrate the life of another great White man.

Today was another busy day as is every Tuesday. Tuesday is the day I carry Charity and Shelby to all their music lessons which include Drums, guitar, violin and voice.

This evening Rachel and Scott Pendergraft as well as Charity and Shelby are at the Christian Revival Center working on their music and recording for their CD.

I will be working on my messages for congress. Congress schedules have been mailed to all those attending as well as directions for those who have not been here before.

Saturday evening at congress should be a lot of fun for everyone as we will doing old time folk dances on the veranda in front of the Revival Center.

I did an interview with Erin Hartness of WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina about 1:30 this afternoon. It seems someone had found a KKK contact card in the garden department of a Wal-Mart store.

Also I spoke with our attorney in North Carolina about 5pm. The Rhino Times is again talking about settling the case with us out of court. (click on Rhino Times label for more information) It is tempting, as all I would have to do is announce I am advising our members and supporters not to use old issue of The Rhino Times for distribution. (People will often take sections of old newspapers and wrap a Knights Party flyer around it and mass distribute them. This is perfectly legal) While this would be the easy way to get this legal action off our back, adversely it could cause other newspaper to then take legal action against us in the hope of getting the same agreement. I have spoken with reporters from other states and various newspapers around the country are watching how this plays out.

We could literally be drawn into legal action in every state of the country. I have been able to remain arrogant and strong in the face of this because of the faithful support we have received. As I told our attorney, "The Rhino Times thought we were uneducated hicks with no resources. They will be surprised because I will not back down to their intimidation. We might not have deep pockets, but we DO HAVE POCKETS and we have members and supporters that will provide the resource to fight this effort to shake us down."

I am hoping we won't have to go to court as our legal bills will begin to mount. The best thing for the Rhino Times to do is to drop their case. We have legal action against them here in Arkansas that is being handled by Jason and I told our attorney in N.C. that if they drop their case against us, we will drop our case against them.

Rhino Times is really in a tight spot as they are claiming loss of income and advertisers, therefore they will have to produce their financial records showing lost of revenue. I don't think they will want to do that.

I want to remind you that the ONLY reason I have been able to remain so bold in our defense is because we have had great support so far and I know that if we have to go to court I will be able to call on you again.

As it stands right now, Jason and I are to fly to Greensboro, North Carolina on October 4th to meet with a state appointed mediator. I will keep you posted.

My dear friends, this is an update on the lawsuit filed against us in North Carolina. I am going to give some background information to remind you of what this is about and also it will help inform new members who are unaware of the issue.

On September 6th of last year, The Rhino Times, a North Carolina conservative weekly tabloid newspaper file a lawsuit against us claiming we were employing unfair business practices. This came about because one or more individuals in North Carolina were using old and discarded sections of The Rhino Times in the distribution of Knights Party literature.

As most of you know it has been the practice of many people to take sections of old newspapers and roll them up like a newspaper boy (girl) might do and wrap a piece of literature around it, secured with a rubber band. Often hundreds and even thousands of these might be prepared and then distributed in neighbor hoods as a means of spreading the news of White Christian Revival.

People who do this may be members of The Knights, or they may be someone who is sympathetic to our objectives. Most groups who are part of the white nationalist movement engage in this practice.

There is nothing illegal about this activity and it is constitutionally protected. Sometime, however, when this happens the publisher of the newspaper will complain and call the national office and warn us that we are not to use "their" newspaper for such a practice. I was even given such warning from our local newspaper, The Harrison Daily Times. Over the years I have had many such phone calls. I even had such "warnings" from the police. Others have sent me bills amount to thousands of dollars. I recall one newspaper from Missouri sending me a bill in excess of $50 thousand dollars. I have had many letters from lawyers informing me that we are not to use the newspapers of publishers they represented.

Of course, the publisher of any newspaper does not own these newspapers in perpetuity. Once a newspaper is sold or given away the publisher has lost controlling interest. For example it would be the same as if Ford Motor Company sued me because one of our members was driving a Ford while passing out literature.

When I would get such a phone call from a publisher or lawyer threatening such a lawsuit, I would chuckle and explain that they no longer own the newspapers. And even if they did have an actionable cause, (which they don’t) it would only be against the person who was actually distributing the literature.

Of course our analysis is correct and for that reason we have never had a newspaper who has been able to find a lawyer stupid enough to pursue such action.

Until now!

So the Rhino Time has this lawsuit filed. And even though it is silly, if successful, it would hamper our ability to economically get literature distributed.

In the fall we informed our membership of this lawsuit and have been successful in raising money to hire a competent attorney. In the past I related the story (what was nothing short of a miracle) on how this came about through a contact I made 30 years ago while speaking in North Carolina.

In reporting about their lawsuit against The Knights, The Rhino Times made a slanderous remark about The Knights which was libelous. This was also posted on their web site. As a result we filed a lawsuit in Arkansas asking for 50 thousand dollars in damages. That lawsuit was recently dismissed, however, we feel that our cause is just and will be appealing the dismissal.

A few days ago I was given a settlement agreement from The Rhino Times. In their agreement they offer to drop the lawsuit if I will agree to certain conditions.

The settlement agreement offered follows.

NORTH CAROLINA
GUILFORD COUNTY SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

This Settlement Agreement is entered into as of this _______day of ___________ 2007, between Hammer Publications, d/b/a The Rhinoceros Times ("The Rhino Times’) and Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and Knights of the Ku Klux Klan d/b/a The Knights Party, and The Knights Party (collectively referred to as "The Knights Party").

WHEREAS, on December 19, 2006, The Rhino Ties filed an Amended Complaint and Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Permanent Injunction ("Amended Complaint") against The Knights Party in Guilford County Superior Court, 06 CVS 9975; and
WHEREAS, on October 10, 2006, the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan filed a lawsuit against Hammer Publications d/b/a The Rhinoceros Times, William Hammer and John Hammer in Boone County, Arkansas, Circuit Court, CV-2006-277-2, and whereas the defendants in this case have filed a Motion to Dismiss; and
WHEREAS, this Settlement Agreement reflects the agreement between The Rhino Times and The Knights party concerning all matters set out in these Complaints; and
WHEREAS, this Settlement Agreement is entered into by the parties hereto in order to resolve any disputes in an amicable fashion and to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and undertakings set forth herein, The Rhino Times and The Knights Party agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
1. The Knights Party, by and through its officers and agents, including Thomas Robb, National Director of The Knights Party ("Mr. Robb") acknowledges that copies of its newsletter, I.e., a newsletter distributed by The Knights Party, are being placed in or about publications of The Rhino Times without the consent of The Rhino Times.
2. The Knights Party and Mr. Robb acknowedges that copies of the newsletter distributed by The Knights Party should not be distributed by placing them inside or with copies of The Rhino Times or any other independent publication.
3. The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree that it will affirmatively discourage and take all necessary actions to prevent their newsletter, I.e. The Knights Party newsletter, or any other newsletter distributed by The Knights Party, from being placed in or about The Rhino Times or any other independent publication.
4. The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree to contact all members of its organization residing in Guilford, Forsyth, Davidson and Alamance Counties, North Carolina, so as to put these individuals on notice that The Knights Party newsletter should not be distributed by placing such newsletters in or about The Rhino Times or any other independent publicatin.
5. The Knights Party and Mr. Robb agree that the following statement shall be included in the next six consecutive issues of The Knights Party newsletter:
"Copies of this newsletter should not be distributed by placing this newsletter in or about any other independent publication, such as newspapers, magazines or other newsletters. If you or anyone you know is distributing this newsletter by placing it in or about another publication, you must immediately cease such activity."
6. In consideration for The Knights Party taking the actions as set out above, The Rhino Times will, within ten days of execution of this Agreement, dismiss its lawsuit against The Knights Party without prejudice.
7. In consideration for The Rhino Times dismissing its lawsuit against The Knights Party, The Knights Party will either [a] not appeal a decision by the Circuit Court of Boone County, Arkansas granting the defendants’ Motion to Dismiss, or [b] dismiss their lawsuit filed in the Circuit Court of Boone County, Arkansas, if the Court denies defendants’ Motion to Dismiss.

Now I want you to take time to read this agreement over again, if necessary, to fully understand this SETTLEMENT which has been offered to us. I will be quite honest with you. The easiest way for me to handle this would be to sign the agreement. If I would do that our legal troubles would be over and we could go on. But I don’t think that is what you would want me to do and frankly I don’t feel compelled to lay supinely before tyrants.

Our forefathers met at the common green of Lexington and with stubborn grit let the British know that they would rather fight than run. I believe such a day is upon us once again. Our forefathers were fighting for their liberty but today we are engaged in this struggle not just for our liberty but for the very heart and soul of our children.

In our appeal we made last fall we raised a little over 5 thousand dollars. Our legal expenses thus far has consumed about half of what we raised. The battle still continues and litigation hasn’t even begun. We have been ordered by the court to met with a mediator. I don’t expect this to produce anything satisfactory, however, I have no choice but to comply with the court order or lose by default. I along with our local counsel will have to fly to North Carolina sometime before the first of June for this meeting. After this, our legal expenses are going to mount fast and I have to be in a position to pay attorney fees, plus travel to North Carolina when we go to court.

Again, you have to be aware that I could simply submit. But I ask myself, how much longer are white people going to submit to their oppressors without resistance.

We have recently seen Don Imus submit to the demands of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the whole black power establishment. Is that what you want me to do?

I certainly hope not. But I can’t continue his battle without your continued help. We need a financial gift today. Large, small, medium - something. Then I need you to let me know that I can count on you in the future if our legal expenses grow beyond the money we have raised.
We have members and supporters who struggle from week to week to pay their bills and put food on the table. But I also know we have members who are doing quite well and we have some who are doing VERY well.
