George Washington Dies 1799

It was on this day that George Washington, the first president of the United States at age 67 died (1789-97), at Mount Vernon VA.

George Washington (February 22, 1732 – December 14, 1799) was a central and critical figure in the founding of the United States, as well as the nation's first president. Before becoming one of the major founding fathers of the nation, as well as president, Washington led the Continental Army to victory over Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War.

Washington was seen as symbolizing the new nation and republicanism in practice. His devotion to civic virtue made him an exemplary figure among early American politicians. During Washington's funeral oration, Henry Lee (father of Robert E. Lee) said that of all Americans, he was "first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen."

Occasionally we hear non-Christian White Nationalists make the claim that Christianity and subsequent religious wars in Europe have been responsible for the deaths of millions of our white brothers and sisters. While there may be some validity to the claim, the fact is that wars have often been fought for other reasons too. And religion is just used as an excuse. For example, wars have been waged over oil, water, business interests, land, lust, adultery, assassinations, navigation rights, drugs, border disputes, taxes, the desire to get slaves, money or for a king to maintain his power.

The fact is that it is sin and not Christianity which has been the cause of war. But in every war there is an aggressor and there is the defender. So we can't get to self-righteous in our condemnation of war. If some one breaks into your home and starts a war against you and your family, your defense and protection of your family is justified. It makes your cause Holy and righteous.

To blame Christianity for spilling the blood of our White brothers and sisters in Europe is presented as an implication that if it wasn't for Christianity all white people would live in peace and harmony.

But there was war between white people long before Christianity. For example: The Trojan wars between Troy and Sparta, the Punic Wars between Carthage and Rome, the Peloponnesian War between Athens and the Peloponnesian League lead by Sparta, the Gallic Wars between Rome and the Gauls and the war against Greece by the Gauls.

The Gallic Wars were especially devastating to Europe as the Romans killed 1 out of every 4 Gauls.

All this occurred before Christianity. No wonder as Christ came to deliver his message to the sons and daughters of Israel (Europeans, the white race) he told them to love each other.

Christianity did not divide the children of Europe, but united them under a common faith and a common cause.
