MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE
Twas the month before Christmas When all through our land
Not a Christian was praying Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away,The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would sayDecember 25th is just a ' Holiday .'
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod Something was changing, something quite odd! Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!

Please, all Christians join together and wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!

  3. It's sad, you get arrested for praying but they are allowed to teach things that don't make sense (The Evolution bull!) and we're not allowed to say "Merry Christmas," just Happy Holidays, it's sad that Christ means nothing and these Pigs running our government are getting away with it, notice how when there was prayer in School there were less Violence, Pregnant Teens, and other things like that, but now we teach about how "There is no God" and the country went to the toilet.

  4. "Happy Holidays" covers all beliefs--everyone's included. Stop trying to segregate! "Happy Holidays" isn't subduing Christianity, it's accepting and incorporating other faiths--something you're too afraid to do.

Spirituality is a complicated thing--everyone's going to perceive it a little differently. There's nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is an organized religion that CONTROLS people through faith and fear. You can't FORCE someone to see things the same way as you do. You can't PROVE you're any more correct about the origins of existence than anyone else is. If you had any sense at all, you'd realize that, no matter WHAT a person believes, WE'RE ALL WORKING TO THE SAME END! It's time to stop alienating people for being different and start accepting the things we all share. Let them have their Kwanzaas and Ramadans and Hanukkahs--you can still have your Christmas--and we can all SHARE a happy holiday season.

Oh, and BTDub, Christmas was originally a pagan celebration before the church started assigning new meanings to it in order to convert new Christians, so when you complain about losing "Merry Christmas" to the ambiguous "Happy Holidays" try to keep in mind how the pagans felt when you took away their mushrooms and replaced them with trinkets from Santa. :/

  5. I agree completely with the post from anonymous that starts with "Happy Hollidays." A true christian would see how Christmas is more about materialism, consumerism, and capitalism, than it is about Jesus and should welcome the disassociation.

Jesus would not promote segregation and seperatism. Jesus would not see the "master race" as being human. And Jesus would agree that there is only one religion: the worship of the one God. The same God of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Bahais, and many others.

Religion is meant to promote unity throughout humanity and spiritual growth. Christmas is just a holiday, and a thing that any spiritual person should not concern themselves with. Thomas, you should pray to God for guidance because it seems that you have totally missed the intended message of Jesus. My email is eamarti@fuse.net and I am available to any who would like to unite and engage spiritual studies. We are all one. Happy Hollidays to you all.

  6. Good call, Edward M! Thankfully not everyone wears religious-blinders, and can appreciate the essence of TRUE spirituality in ALL forms!

  7. Merry Christmas Thomas Robb!

BTW, Ed, we are not all one. All roads/religion do not lead to Life and the same destination.

  9. To Joy:

How DON'T they lead to the same end? Just because you're incapable of seeing alternative paths doesn't mean they don't exist, and just because you favor the road you're on doesn't mean it's best--you're simply biased!

Mat 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
Yup I am biased and proud of it!
