Tasman Discovers New Zealand

It was on this day, December 13, 1642 that Abel Janszoon Tasman discovered New Zealand.

Tasman (1603 - October 10, 1659), a Dutch seafarer, explorer, and merchant is best known for his voyages of 1642 and 1644. His was the first known European expedition to reach the islands of Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) and New Zealand and to sight the Fiji islands, in 1643. Tasman, his navigator Visscher, and his Merchant Gilsemans also mapped substantial portions of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

On November 24, 1642 Tasman sighted the west coast of Tasmania. He named his discovery Van Diemen's Land after Anthony van Diemen, Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. Proceeding south he skirted the southern end of Tasmania and turned north-east until he was off Cape Frederick Hendrick on the Forestier Peninsula. An attempt at landing was made but the sea was too rough; however, the carpenter of the ship swam through the surf, and, planting the Dutch flag, Tasman claimed formal possession of the land on December 3, 1642.

Tasman had intended to proceed in a northerly direction but as the wind was unfavourable he steered east. On December13 they sighted land on the north-west coast of the South Island, New Zealand.

Marconi Receives 1st Transatlantic Radio Signal

It was on this day, December 12, 1901, that Italian inventor, Marconi receives 1st transatlantic radio signal, England to US.

Guglielmo Marconi (25 April 1874 - 20 July 1937) was an Italian inventor of Italian and Irish descent, best known for his development of a radiotelegraph system, which served as the foundation for the establishment of numerous affiliated companies worldwide. He shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics with Karl Ferdinand Braun, "in recognition of their contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy". Later in life, Marconi was an active Italian Fascist.
During his early years, Marconi had an interest in science and electricity. One of the scientific developments during this era came from Heinrich Hertz, who, beginning in 1888, demonstrated that one could produce and detect electromagnetic radiation — now generally known as "radio waves."

Marconi began to conduct experiments, building much of his own equipment in the attic of his home at the Villa Griffone in Pontecchio, Italy. His goal was to use radio waves to create a practical system of "wireless telegraphy" — i.e. the transmission of telegraph messages without connecting wires as used by the electric telegraph. This was not a new idea — numerous investigators had been exploring wireless telegraph technologies for over 50 years, but none had proven commercially successful. Marconi did not discover any new and revolutionary principle in his wireless-telegraph system, but rather he assembled and reivalued an array of facts, unified and adapted them to his system.

At first, Marconi could only signal over limited distances. In the summer of 1895 he moved his experimentation outdoors. After increasing the length of the transmitter and receiver antennas, and arranging them vertically, and positioning the antenna so that it touched the ground, the range increased significantly. Soon he was able to transmit signals over a hill, a distance of approximately 1 mile. By this point he concluded that with additional funding and research, a device could become capable of spanning greater distances and would prove valuable both commercially and militarily.

Finding limited interest in his work in Italy, in early 1896 at the age of 21, Marconi traveled to London, England, accompanied by his mother to seek support for his work. (Marconi spoke fluent English in addition to Italian.) While there, he gained the interest and support of William Preece, the Chief Electrical Engineer of the British Post Office.

A series of demonstrations for the British government followed — by March, 1897, Marconi had transmitted Morse code signals over a distance of about 4 miles across the Salisbury Plain. On 13 May 1897, Marconi sent the first ever wireless communication over water. It transversed the Bristol Channel from Lavernock Point (South Wales) to Flat Holm Island, a distance of 8.7 miles. The message read "Are you ready."

Impressed by these and other demonstrations, Preece introduced Marconi's ongoing work to the general public at two important London lectures: "Telegraphy without Wires", at the Toynbee Hall on 11 December 1896; and "Signalling through Space without Wires," given to the Royal Institute on 4 June 1897.

Around the turn of the century, Marconi began investigating the means to signal completely across the Atlantic, in order to compete with the transatlantic telegraph cables. Marconi soon made the announcement that on 12 December 1901, using a 400-foot kite-supported antenna for reception, the message was received at Signal Hill in St John's, Newfoundland.

On 17 December 1902, a transmission from the Marconi station in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, became the first radio message to cross the Atlantic in an eastward direction. On 18 January 1903, a Marconi station built near Wellfleet, Massachusetts in 1901 sent a message of greetings from Theodore Roosevelt, the President of the United States, to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom, marking the first transatlantic radio transmission originating in the United States.

Marconi joined the Italian Fascist party in 1923. In 1930, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini appointed him President of the Accademia d'Italia, which made Marconi a member of the Fascist Grand Council. Marconi was a participant in rallies that fostered fascist beliefs and composed fascist propaganda.

Pilgrims Land at Plymouth Rock

It was on this day , December 11, 1620, that the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. The Pilgrims were Separatists, because they wanted to completely separate themselves from the Church of England. It was persecution of the Pilgrims by the English monarchy which lead the Pilgrims to leave England and first migrate to Holland and then subsequently to America. Other ships brought additional Pilgrims to the colony. The FORTUNE (1621), the ANNE and the LITTLE JAMES (1623) and the second MAYFLOWER (1629).

It important that to understand that this settlement was a church. The pilgrims were not a loose band of adventurers, they were a tightly knit Christian church that came to America and established a church colony. From out of this church colony a nation was built. Those who claim that we must maintain separation of church and state are confused. We cannot maintain something that never existed. America was founded as a Christian Church. The crazy people who want to remove any recognition of Christianity from our government are just that - crazy. I suppose they can’t help it. Just give them a warm teddy bear and they will be content.

My sermon for church last Sunday was Faith is the Victory. You can still hear it by going to Stormfront.org. I want to invite everyone to listen to our weekly church service by listening to Stormfront each Sunday morning at 12 PM Eastern time. The title my message on this Sunday is Empowered for Purpose. I am still working on it and not absolutely certain what direction I will take it. But again I invite you all to listen in this Sunday. We had some problems with our connections last Sunday and if some of you attempted to listen and were not able to I want you to try again this Sunday. Last Sunday we did get the connection working at about 12:20.

Pearl Harbor Attacked on This Day

It was on this day, December 7, 1941, Imperial Japan attacked our Naval base in Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor is on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan on December 7, 1941 brought the United States into World War II.

The American people were told that the attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise. However, in recent years information have come out showing that Roosevelt was aware of the impending attack and purposely made the Naval Base vulnerable. All this was necessary to bring America into the World War. American Jewry had openly declared the desire to destroy Germany as early as 1933.

I have posted a copy of a newspaper headline expressing attempts by world Jewry to destroy the nation of Germany as early as early as 1933.

American Jewry efforts to provoke Germany failed, In order to justify a war against Germany the attack on Pearl Harbor was orchestrated allowing the U.S. declare war against Germany by going through the back door by war with Japan.

On the morning of December 7, 1941, planes and midget submarines of the Imperial Japanese Navy began an attack on the U. S. under the command of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto.
At 6:09 a. m. on December 7, 1941, the six Japanese carriers launched a first wave of 181 planes composed mainly of torpedo bombers, dive bombers, horizontal bombers and fighters. The Japanese hit American ships and military installations at 7:55 a. m. They attacked military airfields and at the same time they hit the fleet anchored in Pearl Harbor. The battleship "USS Arizona" was hit with an armor piercing bomb which penetrated the forward ammunition compartment, blowing the ship apart. Overall, twenty-one ships of the U. S. Pacific fleet were damaged and the death toll reached 2,350, along with 68 civilians and 1,178 injured. Of the military personnel lost at Pearl Harbor, 1,177 were from the Arizona.

December 7th marked the beginning of the downfall of Western Civilization from which we have yet to recover.

I attended a Ron Paul meeting tonight and met some good people. I have to admit I have a Ron Paul bumper sticker on my car. Ron Paul is the only candidate that boldly claims he believes the constitution is the supreme law of the land and we should follow it.

Ron Paul would abolish the IRS, abolish the Department of Education, bring our troops home from Iraq immediately, reel in the Federal Reserve, close our borders and stop the rush toward globalism and the one world government.

Does Ron Paul endorse everything I would, I doubt it, however, we don’t need someone who agree with us in everything, we just need a government that will stay out of our lives.
I would suggest that you google Ron Paul and read more about what is being called the Ron Paul Revolution.

President Adams Proposes Establishment of U.S. Observatory

It was on this day, December 6, in 1825 that the newly elected president, John Quincy Adams suggested the establishment of the Depot of Charts and Instruments. The suggestion did not come into reality until nearly four years later when President Adams sign the authorization shortly before he left office.

The United States Naval Observatory is one of the oldest scientific agencies in the United States. Located in Northwest Washington, D.C., it is one of the very few observatories located in an urban area; when it was initially constructed, it was far from the light pollution generated by the then-smaller city center.
Established in 1830 as the Depot of Charts and Instruments, it was made into a national observatory in 1842 via a federal law.

The observatory's primary mission was to care for the United States Navy's marine chronometers, charts, and other navigational equipment. It calibrated ships' chronometers by timing the transit of stars across the meridian. Initially located downtown in Foggy Bottom (near the Kennedy Center), the observatory was moved to its present location in 1893, atop Observatory Hill overlooking Massachusetts Avenue, amidst perfectly circular grounds.
The names National Observatory and Naval Observatory were both used for 10 years, until a ruling was passed to use only the term Navy Observatory. Former President John Quincy Adams had intended for it to be called the National Observatory. John Quincy Adams spent many nights at the observatory, watching and charting the stars, because it had always been one of Adams' hobbies to study the stars - The bill for the creation of a national observatory was passed just before his leaving presidential office.

I was listening to Stormfront tonight and Paul Fromm gave a plug for Heritage Connection’s new CD - Aryan Awakening. If you would like to learn more about Heritage Connection go to heritageconnection.tv where a couple of their songs are available for your listening.

Speaking about Paul Fromm I want to remind you that he is a scheduled speaker at our Faith & Freedom Conference coming up on April 4-6 at the Christian Revival Center. If you haven’t as of yet made plans I certainly urge you to put the date on your calendar. This conference is for all white nationalists and will be a wonderful time of fellowship and learning. Paul Fromm can be heard each night on stormfront.org at 12 AM Eastern Time. I know you will enjoy his program. I will also obtain his website and post it tomorrow. His program is titled For Our People.

Just a reminder to listen to the Sunday morning church service coming from the Christian Revival Center each Sunday at 12 PM Eastern Time.

I spent most of the day in preparation for my Sunday message taken from the book of Joshua.
If you have been looking for a church that teaches the Bible from a historical and well as a fundamental point of view this may be your answer. Even though most churches are afraid of the issue the fact is race is the central theme of the Bible, Romans 9:1-5. Be sure to listen each week and tell your friends also.

Here are some interesting things which happen on this day.
1349 500 Jews are expelled from Nüremberg, Germany
1492 Columbus discovers Hispaniola (El Espanola/Haiti)
1496 Jews are expelled from Portugal by order of King Manuel I
1792 George Washington re-elected US President
1804 Thomas Jefferson re-elected US President
1832 Andrew Jackson re-elected President of US

In Arkansas a state senator is in deep trouble for commenting about the run-away population of Negroes and Mexicans.

Of course he was tearfully apologetic for his remarks which he made via email. The League of United Latin American Citizens are calling for the resignation of Sen. Denny Altes. Altes, however said he didn’t consider his comments to be racist.

In an email sent to Bill Vines, the former mayor of Ft. Smith, Altes wrote, "We are where we were with the black folks after the Revolutionary War. We can’t send them back [illegal aliens] and the more we anger them the worse it will be in the future. . . Sure we are being overrun but we are being out-populated by the blacks also."

--------
On December 2nd we began broadcasting our weekly church service on Stormfront Radio. The broadcast is live and you can hear it at 12 PM Eastern time. We were preparing for problems, or at least a little difficulty, but every thing went perfect. Derrick Black, Scott Penderdergraft and Charity Perndergraft worked hard to make sure everything went smooth on this first broadcast. Charity and her father Scott have learned a lot and I suspect it will be smooth running each week.

I invite all of you to take a little time out of your busy lives to listen to the Sunday morning church broadcast coming from the Christian Revival Center at 12 PM.

If you have been looking for a church that teaches the Bible from a historical and well as a fundamental point of view this may be your answer. Our annual Christmas Fellowship Conference went extremely well and it was good to see so many of our good friends. We had a lot of young people and kids which is always a good sign of a growth. The picture that I think will appear to the right shows a couple of the little ones decorating some Christmas cookies. We also have pictures of different ones playing other games.

Picture of people visiting and listening to speakers

We have a cannon recently donated to us so it was a big thrill to watch the cannon shoot. The kids really liked this.

Heritage Connection singing a Hank Williams favortite, I'm So Lonesone I Could Cry.

Begining on Sunday, December 2nd my Sunday morning church service is being aired on Stormfront Radio. You can listen each Sunday at 11 AM (Central Time) to the live church service coming from the Christian Revival Center. Just go to Stormfront.org and click on the button where it says LISTEN. The photo here is of Charity Pendergraft getting ready to make the connection to Stormfront. Standing above Charity is her dad, Scott who oversees all our video and sound operations, although Charity handles much of this herself.
Hope you enjoy these photos. I will write again on my blog on Wednesday morning.
